THE VALUE OF DIVERSITY

Stereotypes have a negative impact on the of relationships among groups of people, influencing judgments and perceptions. When a stereotype consolidates, it becomes impossible to make an objective assessment of people’s skills and performances.

Why is this happening?

Verbal and body language work together to strengthen beliefs and convince those around us of their truthfulness. The more we believe in it, the more we identify people, through attitudes, with the deficiencies we have attributed to them.

What can companies do?

  1. Change point of view: identify the differences and consider them wealth in which to invest
  2. Consider their own social responsibility in creating a healthy and balanced environment
  3. Educate their employees to be agents of change to achieve sustainable and innovative transformations.

Identifying the critical points and designing inclusion policies is definitely a strategy for the benefit of financial, social and cultural performances!
